Me gustan los libros

Desde que era pequeña,  pedía que me compraran libros en vez de muñecas. Gracias a eso, hoy tengo una gran biblioteca, pero sobre todo creo que es una buena biblioteca.

En las estanterías están colocados según los voy leyendo.

Uno gordo rojo, al lado de uno delgado amarillo. Una edición antigua pegada a un libro de bolsillo de oferta…

Compro todo lo que me gusta, me recomiendan y puedo, intriga, biografías, sobre fotografía, historia…

Leo todo lo que compro, me guste o no, lo acabo. Lo entiendo como un respeto al autor.

Hace 9 años, empecé a apuntar en una libreta, fecha en que he acabado de leerlo, titulo y autor. Es de gran ayuda para volver a colocarlos luego en el mismo orden, después de las numerosas mudanzas de estos años.

Si hubiera invertido todo este dinero en comprar cosas de valor o hubiera guardado ese dinero… hoy seria más “rica” pero menos feliz.

I like books

Since I was a young girl, I asked my parents to buy me books instead of dolls. Because of that, today I have a large library, and I think it's a good library.

On the shelves the books are arranged according to which one I am going to read.

One big red book beside a yellow book. Old edition in front of a pocket book ...

I buy everything that I like or books that other people recommend me to read; intrigue, biographies, photography, history ...

I read everything that I buy. Weather I like it or not, I finish it.  I do that out of  respect for author.

9 years ago, I started to write down in a notebook, each time that I finish reading a book, the date, the title of the book and the name of the author. It is big help to put them back in the same order on the shelves, after numerous moving.

If I had invested all this money in buying valuable things or I had saved that money ... today I would be "richer" but less happy.

(Thanks "The Bonfire of the vanities", the most boring book that I have read in my life and because it have made me remember this)
